3-Needle-Join-Knitwise

A 3-needle join can be used to add a decorative strip to your work or to make a hem. I have used it to add things such as teeth or petals to my stuffed toys.

Two knitting needles with the decorative stitches placed in front of the working body of yarn.

First

1

Place the needle holding the decorative stitches on top of the right side of your work.

Knitting needles going through stitch on the first and second needle.

Next, work the stitches

2

Work the 3-needle join by knitting together a stitch from the decorative strip (front needle) and the main work (back needle).

Knitting until all stitches have been knit together

Next

3

Repeat until all stitches from the decorative strip have been attached to the main work.

Finished, garter stitch strip worked into the main knitting.

Finished

4

Here is the garter stitch strip worked into the main knitting.

Add a footnote if this applies to your business
